World Refugee Day: In Solidarity with the Refugees On June 20th, the world came together to celebrate the resilience and strength of refugees on World Refugee Day. This year, the focus was on understanding the  challenges and triumphs of refugees, under the theme 'In Solidarity With Refugees.' Charles Bafaki from the Office of the Prime Minister highlighted a crucial aspect of the refugee situation, stating, "There are people in many countries who are not citizens and they are not necessarily refugees unless they have sought asylum and been documented." His insights underscore the complexity of refugee identification and the importance of proper documentation. Bafaki also pointed out the evolving nature of the refugee crisis, "Situations in Europe and Asia, such as Ukraine, are currently producing new refugees.
