TO LIVE, IS TO LIVE IN JESUS CHRIST
Sometimes we are so focused on the way we want God to fix life that we do not understand that He wants to do before He fixes our life is for us to change the things we do; sometimes we want God to do us big things yet we do not do the basic genuine things he needs of us like; reconciling to each other, helping the needy (sharing experience with those we hardly know), praying and interceding for one another et cetera. It is God to give what we wish to always have but not your efforts and by the guide of the Holy Spirit let us do what the Bible tells us to do “seek ye the kingdom of God first then all things will be added upon you” and remember that if God is not involved, then your struggles are in vain.
Our God may look stubborn, but He still pushes you, He looks disturbing, but He will still push you forward as in (Exodus 12:12-24). He will never let you alone especially when you call upon Him to intervene in your situations and let not your faith be a hostage in what you may have lost because faith is our positive response to God’s grace. And for His Grace, it has nothing to do with our success most especially when we need God to do basic things in our life. The grace from God is unconditional, undeserved above all grace has always been amidst us from the beginning of the world and that grace is Christ Jesus. Grace is God’s part and faith is one part for us to perform.
Let go, and let God, okay. You may think that you have made too many mistakes, it’s been too long, you have missed too many opportunities but in your heart, you know that God promised you but again in your mind the enemy keeps whispering thoughts of doubt but again deep down you can feel the seeds of greatness stirring in your spirit but again every circumstance says “there’s no way” but what I tell you is that “let go, and let God.” God promised and He is still going to do it. Like Hey says in (Psalms 91:4) “if someone trusts Me, I will save them, I will protect my followers who call to me for help” It may not have happened yet but worry not it is coming.
(Psalms 90:4) “To you, a thousand years are like yesterday, a few hours are like in the night” behold beloved and let the Almighty take the wheel.
Conflicting loyalties in Christians
a) Should a Christian be scared of judgment day?
b) How much is a Christian supposed to be engaged in terms of funerals?
Should a Christian be scared of judgment day?
Is it okay for Christians to fear the end of the world? The best way is to find peace in God’s teachings. Fear is a common issue that halts us. Fear is one of Satan’s most effective weapons against the mind of believers. Satan chooses to use fear as a way to paralyze us and render us ineffective in spiritual battle. Fear is incredibly hard to overcome.
It is no wonder that so many people are afraid of judgment day.
● What will happen after?
● What if I never make it to heaven?
● What if I never see the ones I love again?
These are all the common questions that cause doubt and confusion. The Book of Revelation lays out the end of days and it can be an intimidating reading. It brings out some of the most common fears, fear of the unknown, fear of death, fear of pain and fear of loss.
However, fear is only an emotion though its effects are incredibly powerful. Fear can always be overcome by truth and if we know the truth about God and the world we can beat our fears. We as Christians should try to conquer this fear given to us by Satan and instead turn to God and His words. Despite the scary scenarios in the Book of Revelations. A believer who has a saving relationship with Jesus Christ (John 3:16, Romans 10:9-10) can find peace for several reasons.
God is always with us.
Christians can rely on God’s spirit to help alleviate our fears. God is always by our side lifting us up and giving us strength (Isaiah 41:10). While He cannot promise that nothing bad will happen to us, we can take comfort in knowing He is with us. No matter what the things we face in life, we always have God on our side to guide us and protect us. This does not end in prophecies of Revelation. Next time we are fearful of the end, remember to cast those worries on God. (1 Peter 5:7) He will give you the extra strength and reminder that you are not alone and you never will be.
It is not really the end, secondly, we can take comfort in the fact that the end of days which we term judgment day is not really the end. The Bible clearly states that a believer’s final destiny will be in Heaven with Jesus Christ (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18) God will keep us safe as we walk through the trials of the world.
